Easy Search
For Accommodation
the type of accommodation
The easiest part of planning the journey is finding and reserving accommodation. Anyway, for me, it is the most amusing. Remember to book your accommodation before other arrangements, such as flights, to ensure you have a place to stay during your trip.
At the beginning determine your preferences and budget. Decide what type of accommodation you prefer (hotel, hostel, vacation rental, etc.) and set a budget for your stay.
Before the search, you must have some facts and decisions. You know how many travellers you have and your needs, which means the number of rooms and what kind of facilities you prefer. Also, you must know the number of days you will stay at each location. This will narrow down your options and make the search more manageable.
searching the accommodation
Research your destination. Gather information about the area you’ll be visiting, including popular neighbourhoods, proximity to attractions, safety, and local transportation options. Understanding the location will help you choose the best place to stay.
Next is to open one or more sites (Booking.com, Tripadvisor, Expedia, Hotellook) that offer accommodation and enter your parameters in the search. There you can narrow down the offers and find ones that match your desire.
Our advice is to choose the filters „free cancellation“ and „no payment in front“ so that you can immediately reserve the best offers. If things change or you find later a much better option cancel the previous reservation.
more important filters
In your search, there are some more important filters. Such as price limit, accommodation type (hotel, apartment, hostel, camp, villa…), facilities (private bathroom, toilet, breakfast included, elevator, WI-FI, TV) or anything else that is important to you.
One filter that is also very important is the micro-location of the accommodation. That means how near is to all the sites you want to visit. Also how near is the public transport and how easy you can connect to your main arrival and departure station.
Sometimes is better to take a smaller or a bit more expensive accommodation but close to the centre of the place and near the main transport stations. That is because it will save you a lot of time on transport. And money because local transport can be sometimes a bit expensive. One plus is that you can easily pop in to refresh or have small rest and go on strolling around finding local specialities.
Compare and review
Popular destinations and peak travel seasons can fill up quickly, so try to book your accommodation well in advance to secure your desired place and potentially get better rates.
When you find potential accommodations, read reviews from previous guests. Reviews can provide valuable insights into the quality of the property, the amenities, and the overall experience.
Don’t settle for the first option you find. Compare prices for different accommodations with similar features and locations. Sometimes, you can find better deals or special offers by comparing multiple options.
Once you’ve found the perfect accommodation, proceed to book it online or through the platform of your choice. Make sure to receive a confirmation email for your reservation.
